One day until the big mystery press conference and two weeks until the earnings call. Clearly the market is optimistic given the price action. When will APM announce the earnings call? Will it be during the press conference tomorrow? Things are a little quiet.

I attempted to call the number listed yesterday, left a message, no response.
I attempted to send an email to the address listed and my email was automatically returned to me unanswered.
The way the share price is hovering today, almost like it's waiting for something to be released.

I have received my answer, 11:00 AM ET
I just received a call from AMCC, the investor relations person told me that today's In House Press Conference is for Press only. I then asked why the supposed upcoming earnings release date has not been released yet. She stated, with a chuckle, that it will be forthcoming.
Look for a news release today (10/14/15) on today's Conference.

Update at 1:00 PM ET share price is no longer hovering, up .24 @ $6.62 484,000 shares traded

It sounds as if 'Big Doings' may be afoot! Thanks for your proactive perseverance Chris. I guess we will have to await word from the foreign press and info about the earnings call.
Not being too concerned about the earnings call... That IS interesting.

The article below listed today (10/14/2015) on AMCC Facebook page. Not sure if this has anything to do with the In House Press Conference, but since NO news has yet been released regarding it. I will place the story here assuming it does. Yes, and I know ALL about what ASS-U-ME means!
Well, it seems like the rumors of a buyout, while still around were greatly exaggerated. There was probably some run-up based upon the press conference (?) and the late publication of the earnings date. It still did seem (and does) a little odd. The share price ran into overbought territory (RSI) at yesterday's close,
and all the folks with investor's ADHD sold. One good thing that I still see from all this is that AMCC has scheduled the earnings call on a Monday. They must be certain of their results being perceived by the market as good news to schedule on a Monday.

I wonder if we hear some remarks on the Conference early next week.
If the share price holds in the mid $6.00 range, then I would expect on a good earnings report, the share price bumping up into the mid $7.00 range.
That is unless we hear some very positive news regarding yesterday's conference. Then who knows. Maybe $8.00+
After thinking about the delay in release of earnings call date, I am wondering if this has something to do with yesterday's In House Conference Call. If yesterday's story is released next week, that leaves just one week before earnings are released. If momentum begins to move the share price on the release of yesterday's news and with a release of exceptional earnings on November 2, we may have a share price that moves north from where it has already moved, rather quickly.
possibly $8.00 + maybe ?
All I know is short interest percentage is still high over 13% There has to be something BIG going on with the recent In House Conference Call and WHEN the release of that Call is ?? What is it all about??? X-Gene 3 and or what else ?

a continuation from my above post.
I am surprised that the day after(10/15/2015) the seemingly secretive " In House Press Conference " with over 20 Asian and European Electronics editors, there has not been ANY picking and prodding from the many news organizations that thrive on this type of situation. Maybe those that attended have ALL agreed to keep quiet until early next week? very strange. Who knows, maybe we never hear anything at all about the mysterious event.
Below is one of the many groups that attended. check for news releases regarding the conference
You know Chris, I can't imagine why they would announce to the public a press conference about nothing. Were they going to announce something, but it didn't happen? I really don't know what to make of this or what the point was. I could see courting the press, but if I was with the press and someone invited me to a conference and had nothing to say, I would be aggravated at someone wasting my time like that. An investor conference is one thing -- THIS, I just don't know. This is really strange. I don't get it.
I think the run-up in the share price was all about speculation of a buyout. Now the air can only come out of the share price until the earnings call. Let's hope for a good showing in two weeks.

Well, here we are mid-week and no news regarding last weeks In House Press Conference.
BUT,
The share price continues to move UP @ $6.80 on 10/21/2015
AMCC share price moved up .32 today (10/21/2015) a Wednesday. the share price sat rather idle during the first two days of the week beginning @ $6.70 moving down to $6.48. This looks like the market may be anticipating a news release tomorrow (Thursday) with the .32 move today. Look for a news release on Thursday Oct. 22.

Thanks for finding the above stories phobos.
The two above stories were released on 10/21/15 and 10/22/15. Now I wonder how much they have to do with last weeks conference? and How come this story was not released under the "news" tab at AMCC's web site?
either way, AMCC share price continues to move UP, pushing through $7.00 and finishing the day @ $6.90 share.
