Here is the Motley Fools take on the recent announcement of 7nm process technology from TSMC:
I did not like what I read here, unless I read it wrong. I hate this! it is their opinion so we will have to see what CEO Gopi states or doesn't state!
The article is fairly neutral. I would think that low-cost ARM chips would begin to garner some share at the low-end: it does not matter that AMCC and CAVM are not immediately competing with INTC at the high end. This is why I am looking for second quarter guidance of around $44M. This is not too much to ask. If it doesn't happen, I would like to ask, "When can we expect a sale?"
